New Tempo are putting together a night of sonic arts and performance to coincide with this years GI Festival. The event will take place at The Poetry Club (Glasgow) on Thu 3rd April 2014.
New Tempo desires to promote, celebrate and explore sonic arts, film and performance. This next productions is inspired by primal elements (fire and the drum), with hints of the occult and motorcycle gangs thrown in for good measure. This is however a very flexible and open minded theme.
We are inviting artists/performers/film makers/etc to use this as a platform for experimentation.
Any musicians/bands/artists/performers or filmmakers interested in taking part please contact Nici on the following email: email@example.com
Thank you for your time.
NEW TEMPO PRESS:
After the success of their debut event New Tempo are back! Maintaining their principle of representing the sonically alluring. Expect new work alongside cult gems; amateurs and lo-fi veterans alike.
If their last event is anything to go by they surely cannot disappoint fans of the arcane.
3D visuals, A one man Ukulele Kraftwerk homage, interactive installations (including a ‘build your own ambient soundscape’ and a holographic singing instrument), cult experimental films (including the banned RD Laing LSD interview), and vintage electroxotica were just some of the previous highlights.
With that in mind it’s sure to be an eclectic medley of experimentation.
A notoriously hard to pin down New Tempo representative teasingly suggested nothing less than fire, drums, motorbike cults and possible nudity.
Who knows what to expect!
